ACDC Vinyl advice needed

I've got some Beatles albums from the '60's and I think they sound great; then again last year's remasters have really captured the sound in my opinion. I prefer the vinyl album sleeves though!
As far as I can tell 180 g re-issues are pretty close to the old pressings but haven't be able to directly compare them myself.0 -

When they refer to a 180g LP, they don't mean the weight of the record. They mean the weight at which the cartridge ('needle') tracks. On a high quality modern record deck, you can set the tracking weight and for the LPs now being made you should set this to 180g."
There certainly is some confusion. 180g does refer to the weight of the vinyl not the setting of the tracking force. Can you imagine applying nearly a fifth of a kilogram to a stylus?
Most modern cartridges track at around 2g

According to the vinyl mastering people that I know, technically there is no advantage to the heavyweight pressing. They're just a marketing gimmick to make you think that you are buying something worth more. A 120g or 140g pressing will sound just as good as a 180g or higher pressing if they are made from the same master.
For technical reasons, most modern pressings will have gone through at least one digital delay stage before being cut. Digital isn't a bad thing if done correctly. In the old days of digital there were some bad sounding bits of gear but these have mostly been replaced. That quote from How Stuff Works actually totally misses out on a vital part of the digital audio process but unfortunately these myths about digital audio are widely propagated.

I cant remember what i was listening too, but around 1or 2 months ago i was listening to a discussion on where the cd/mp3 was going to go to next. And They were saying vinyl is going to be really big again and that it would take back over from cd/mp3.Started advent comps 04.12.2013

So I wonder this.
What is the difference between a £10 and a £20 newly pressed 180g record?
And what's the difference between a newly pressed record and a original one?
My heart is saying go for a original and my head is saying a new one.
I've only just found out they are making vinyl again, so any decent pointers would be gratefully received.
I prefer the sound quality of vinyl over other formats any day!! I would recommend a website called discogs for buying any secondhand vinyl. I use it as a buyer and seller, highly recommended, it's like your favourite independent record store all in one place!! Prices may be a bit better than ebay also!!
