Credit report question

Hi all
A quick question...
I joined equifax today for the free trial to get my credit report.
All fine but it lists an old credit card acccount I had in 2004 in which I missed two payments (old uni days!)
I was under the impression that the credit report should only show accounts, current and closed, from the past 5 years. Can anyone help with this?
Thanks
