  • That's awful Wanabe that it's still not fixed, especially because you have young children :(. I would ring them every day until it was fixed :mad:8.

  • Glad your heating is fixed now, horrible
In this weather without it. I had the builders round on Thursday fixing a leak and had to have the water and boiler off all day. Between that and the tradesmen coming in and out all day the house was freezing (and I was very grumpy as a result!!). Can't believe wannabes still isn't fixed though- the landlord should be ashamed leaving small children without heating when it's so cold outside!

Glad you got the boiler fixed. It's that time of the year when they start to go wrong unfortunately. So glad I got the new central heating this year as BG said they wouldn't insure the old boiler for much longer.

We've had snow today and we hardly ever get snow where I live. Took the dog on the park, stayed about 5 minutes then came back, I was getting soaked. All the local kids are on there with their sledges, I don't envy their parents standing there cold and wet.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • What did the dog make of the snow SA?

Hoping you're having a good weekend MTG.

  • Afternoon Diary,

Chilled out snowy day for us today. My sister has been over with my nephew and they've not long gone. Should be NSD3!

WF, I'm really surprised you are left waiting this long especially with DDs breathing conditions. We managed to get BG out on Friday and they would have come through the night because I have asthma.

Thanks HHOD I do enjoy a chilled day now and again!

DTD, nothing worse than a cold house!!

SA, my 2 are old enough to play out on their own now, they're outside with about 4 other kids from the street.

So thats about it really, got a chicken in for a roast for tea. Only got 2 eggs for yorkshire puds but refused to leave the house so will make as many as I can with those!

    Happy Sunday all xx

I’m glad you got your boiler fixed. We haven’t had much snow where we live - it seems to have missed us but am dreading going out to work tomorrow when it’s dropped to -5 and all the roads haves iced over.
  • Evening Diary,

Back on for my last post of the night. Managed to make a roast out of the bits we had in and didn't have to go back out for eggs or anything. NSD3 for me :D. Tomorrow will be a spend day as need milk and butter.

Had our baths and showers and then watched a Christmas movie whilst wrapping a few presents. Still have to wrap the kids but its so hard when they're always around!

Thats about all, 5 working days to go until 2.5 weeks off :D xx

I'm also on NSD3 :) I also need to spend tomorrow on bananas.

Hairy - dog doesn't like the snow, she doesn't like getting her paws wet.

We ended up with a snow day today. My school is in a little rural village and the country lanes are quite bad with compacted ice so the decision was made to close.

I have 6 more working days until work finishes, we don’t finish until the 19th. Nice few days before we do finish though.
  • Evening Diary,

Hope all ok. Things just getting worse here! Handbrake now gone on the car  still waiting to find out the damage from the garage. Just can't believe it, what with the boiler last week and now this. Actually dreading what could be third! So lucky we have 2 cars otherwise we would be totally stuck.

Small spend today on chicken in the coop, used some points and then £3 towards. Was supposed to go to the farmshop but couldn't with no car!

DD2 was at dancing rehearsal tonight so managed to get their presents wrapped before she came home. Its so hard being able to do things like this with them around.

Thats about all from me. Hope all ok xx
