I have the joys of a teenage daughter and last week not only did I find black eye makeup on her bedroom carpet, which I did manage to scrub out, but then I found a lovely long burn on the carpet where she had laid her hair straighteners :eek::mad:.

Evening Diary,

Just popping in for a catch up! So just after id been on here this morning my friend text to ask if we fancied soft play so we went there.
Kids played out when we got back up until 8pm, they were filthy when they came in so a good day all in all id say .

So I went to the doctors, diagnosis is an ear infection and inflamed tonsil (I've only got one as I did have them taken out as a kid but one has grown back). He's given me erythromycin (2, 4 times a day so quite a hefty dose) and they are already killing my stomach I knew this would happen as it always has this effect on me and he's given me naproxen pain killers too and they are so good! They did take the pain away completely but its coming back now they're wearing off.

PLMBL and Pennywise, juice was found in DD1s bedroom under the bed intact! Pennywise I am totally dreading these 2 getting older and trashing the carpets and bedding. Infact DD2 has trashed her current bedding with felt tips in the bed :eek:. I give up!

Think thats all from me. Im in the hairdressers first thing and then kids are going to my dads as we have a wedding in the evening. Im not going to drink as I don't need that adding to my list of problems at the minute!!

I would not go back to my two being teenagers for anything. Such delights in store for you. Good thing is they turn out alright eventually. Hang on in there.

PLMBL, yes they can!! He said it was tonsil tissue on one side but I don't think its like full size ha!! You learn something new everyday!!

haha to toenail issues.. I too have no idea they could grow back, having got very close to having mine out a few years back. I get years where I have tonsilitus constantly.

My daughter is the same as Penny's daughter - make up gets everywhere - the bathroom cabinet is now beige in parts where she made a mess with my foundation!!

Luckily we don't have straighteners otherwise she probably would have burnt the house down!!


The worst spillage recently was from some oil paints which relative got DD (who has no interest in them at all):mad:/ She left them out so the dog got them and she obviously played catch with the orange which got all over the bed, the landing carpet and down the stairs:eek:
Oil paint does not come out:mad:
I will be rehoming the oil paint asap!!!




Sorry to hear you are not well - I have had the throat and nose thing for 3 weeks and all the doctor could say was that it was nothing sinister:cool: and I had nothing wrong :mad:. So tell me why I have a blocked nose and can't smell anything and my throat feels like I have swallowed razor blades if I don't have a drink every 15 mins!! I think I need your GP:rotfl:

Evening Diary,

First day back... done! Ive been a very busy bee today, been to work and went and did half a boxercise class. Wasn't supposed to do it but ended up staying. Booked in for the whole class Wednesday :eek:

DF0D, you learn something new everyday. Poor you when you suffer with the tonsillitis.

EE, your illness doesnt sound too good, I hope you get sorted out soon. :mad::mad::mad: to the oil paint, I would be seriously mad!

So I ended up at the out of hours drs yesterday as those antibiotics made me feel too ill I just couldn't bare to take them. I got a prescription for penicillin and I've still got pain with it. Hoping to feel some improvement tomorrow.

Hope everyones first day back has gone well. Will catch up properly tomorrow xx
