Not been paid this month

I am usually paid on the 25th of each month. The day before pay day I recieved a call from the Finance Mbnager saying there were problems with cash flow and the salaries would not be paid till 1st March. Not just mine, all the employees. Well no salary went into my account yesterday or today and I'm also owed £650 in mileage expenses. I do a lot of travelling. I can't afford to keep putting pertol in the car with no money coming into my account and I have standing orders going out as well.
If this situation doesn't resolve fairly quickly, would I be entitled to claim constuctive dismissal and claim unemployment benefit?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you tried phoning the finance manager and asking him why you still havent been paid?
It sounds like you dont have faith in them actually coughing up with the wages, so it may be an idea to offer them an ultimatum where no wages no work but be prepared to be told where to go and with the way the job scene is you dont want that...basically employers have employees over a barrell the now.
Or you could try without my wages I have no money to travel anywhere and do your work...this isnt my fault I need my wages to go to work every day and will be happy to once I have been fully paid!
Thats what I wouold do...they are both basically the same except the second one just sounds nicer.
As regards to the constructive dismissal, i think it may be a little too early to go for that i'm not entirely sure but thats what I think.

try the links above the second one looks interesting...hope I have helped.

Firstly with employment issues like a company not paying your wages you need to give the employer time and a few days doesn't count. You can't just turn around and say if the issue doesn't resolve itself quickly I'm going to walk out. That attitude wouldn't get you very far if you went to a tribunal.
Secondly put a request for your wages in writing. And ask for an explanation in writing of why you haven't been paid and the date you will be paid.
Thirdly start looking for a new job.
If your employer is having cash flow issues then they are in financial trouble, and could likely go bust without paying your wages. This happened to a lot of friends of mine after the Dot Com boom. So now any company I work for I make sure I'm aware of their funding issues and if it looks dodgy I'm out asap.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Spoke to another member of staff today who says we are to get some of of salary paid on Thursday so I'll see if that happens. Thanks for your advice.Member #7 SKI-ers Club

But there is a limit to how far you should go along with it. At £650 in mileage, it is now time to stop incurring expenses and insist on cash up front for any further expenditure.Firstly with employment issues like a company not paying your wages you need to give the employer time and a few days doesn't count.
