Hello
I am turning 30 next month and have really started to notice a bit of sun-damage. I need a day cream which is light (haven't got time to let it sink in if it's too thick) with a high SPF. Price is also important as I need to be able to afford to buy it continually!
Does anyone have any recommendations please?
Thanks in advance

What is your budget? I've tried many SPF creams, generally find them way too heavy then I heard from a few counter assistants that you have to apply LOADS to get the correct SPF result on your face. Most use creams sparingly and do not get half the SPF protection. I remember them saying 2 tea spoon fulls on your face and neck and you have to reapply in about 6 hours.
Another option is to apply an SPF (not moisturising cream, an SPF concerntrate) and then apply your moisturiser over it. Theres a really helpful forum called basic skincare where people all over the world discuss things like this, the address is
http://www.skincaretalk.com/basic-skin-care/ and there are various products they are using on there.
Me personally, I tried so many, the ones I prefered I found I no longer preferred when I found out how much I actually was supposed to be using.
I have since started using an SPF 50 sun stick- you know the type that are used for ski-ers? I use one by Kiehl's which was just about the only one I could find without petroleum oils in it! (the oil annoys my skin). But there are many out there across a wide price range, Boots stock them, apply with a makeup brush so as not to drag your skin.
Otherwise? if you are set on applying the cream in recommended amounts, Clinique (if your birthday is coming up!) or L'Oreal do a nice mattifying one which is just about do-able, more matte then any of the others but you may find you have to apply two coats to get enough of it on your face and neck.0 -

I like the Clarins Multi Active Day Early Wrinkle Correcting lotion. It's around £40 a bottle but it lasts for ages and being a lotion rather than a cream it goes in quickly as I don't have time to faff about in the mornings.
It is intended for 30ish skin and Clarins are generally pretty good at giving samples if you ask.
The SPF is 150
