does anyone know how easy it is once I buy the domain name, to set up an email address such as info @ my domain.co .uk etc and is it free?

I think it depends on who you host with, I usually get hosting with cpanel and you can set up emails really easily ie. admin@yourdomain name, support@yourdomainname) and even forward them to another email (all mine are forwarded to 1 email so that I dont have to check loads!)

Let me know if you need any help.

also do i need to sort it out at the time of purchasing the domain name?

I think it depends on how you are going to build your site....

eg I bought the domain but didn't bother with the email address as I also bought Mr Site which gives me 1 years hosting, x number of emails (depending on the package) and the doo dah's to build it with.....

    dead techie me!! LOL!

I can;t see why you can't add the email whotsits later once you have decided what you actually want.... no point registering sales@abcd.com if you are not going into sales.....

    -HTH

Glad you got it sorted M. Cagne I was going to say I am pretty sure that when I got my domain at one.com it included hosting for the year and free email hosting. The deal at the moment is £10.35 for a year the webspace is slightly limited but you do have the option of increasing the webspace as the size of the website increases.

Hi Paulabear - well when I got home at lunchtime I had two cards pushed through. One for Royal Mail and one for APC, so I'm hoping one of those is my sulkie. I'm fetching the RM one first thing in the morning and APC have agreed to deliver to my work, so fingers crossed I'll have it by lunchtime tomorrow at the latest :j

I've got all sorts coming at the moment - raided the freebies board the other night, so have seeds, a pedometer and a bar of chocolate from Thorntons coming. Also had a couple of bits of stock coming.

Am I weird, or does anyone else get a real kick out of getting parcels delivered? I get sooo excited when I know things are on their way.
    :j
