How much homework does your child get? Mine comes home with perhaps 10 spellings each week - although its not each week really. And thats it - is that normal?
You know when you think they are going a bit backwards with their work ..... And then the thought that he will be with the same teacher again next year..............

She gets the homework on a Friday and it has to be in the following Wednesday at the latest.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
My DD aged 6 in Year 1 has a reading book which is changed 2/3 times a week, 6 spellings to learn, which she also has to use in sentences, plus her literacy or maths homework.

My 6 year old gets his homework on a Monday and has to be handed in on the Friday, he has a reading book which has to be read each night, spelling words, which have to be written out, usually has to make up 2 sentences using some of the words he has been learning, there is usually some sort of maths sheet, adding or telling time etc, then the last part usually depends on the topic they are doing in class, so just now its to draw a picture of something healthy to eat0
