Exact same thing happened to me, so after £600 of vets bills I got insurance with https://www.healthypets.com for £24 for the year. This is only bronze cover and means £1000 cover per year, you are covered for life and it is not per condition. Special diets however not included. Nothing related to my cats accident is covered, but I am so glad cos only a few months after I was discharged from the vet I was in again with something different! My cat is only 2 as well!

Just checked how much Petplan have paid out on my dog alone in the last 7 years and its a whopping £14720, and they have never once questioned a claim.

Yep petplan here too. never had a claim either, touch wood.

Also got petsafe from keepsafe which means if my dog is found injured he gets £500 emergency vetinary care so geets immediate attention while they try to contact me.

    £49.99 for lifetime cover.
    I have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.

I have M & S insurance for my dog and the coverage is fantastic. I opted to pay a little extra per month (it works out at and extra £8 a year roughly I think) to have no excess which I'm very pleased about. The policy is great, you are covered for behavioural therapy and things like that which are often not covered with other policys. My payment is roughly £10.50 per month which makes it about the cheapest out there too.
