Right... As some people know im an ex lender. My final year at the bank was in a department that 'LOOKED AFTER' existing customers and 'adjusting' limits in accordance with their credit limits.
I used a number of points when reducing, We did, and i can honestly say we did look at credit files and make decisions from that, so id suggest get your file, if you want me to show you how to go through it id be happy to do so... pm me if you like. We would also go from 'stealth' reports from the credit reference agencies... pretty much a stealth report is a report sent to lenders 'suggesting' risk, on this report we would have a look at the account and credit file and make a decision.
A number of factors are taken into account, amount owed (ie:exessive), credit searches, missed payments, history of the last 6 years really... and also spending habbite (ie : high atm use, credit cheque ues )..
