    Forget about the telephone, it is completely irrelevent. You cannot legally acknowledge a debt on the phone, whatever the DCa tell you. just cannnot be done.


    the only thing that would affect you is if they have the equivalent to a CCJ against you.

    please ring NDL or CCCS Scotland as they can explain the Scottish law better than I can.

    Do you have assets, or a decent income? If not, you might be best just to go LIIL - low income low asset bankruptcy. It only costs £100, and wipes out your debts for sure, with a known date. If you could do that it would take away any stress or worry about them coming after you.

    That is an option if the debt is not cleared anyway in the next few months.
