First Small Steps

Hi everyone,
I've finally taken the first steps to get my debts sorted. Contacted CCCS who advised a DMP.

Have contacted my creditors and sent the form and statements back to CCCS :T.

All seems such a depressing nightmare - just hope I feel better in six months time.

Be good everyone!

The first few steps are often the hardest, you will be letters, phone calls from creditors demanding money, just refer them to CCCS.
If anyone tries for a CCJ (not just threatens it) defend it in court, showing your in a DMP and they were offered to join.

It takes a few months for creditors to settle into the DMP.

    Goodluck!

    Hi mandrake

I too hope you will feel better once your DMP is set up and the creditors have settled down. A DMP can seem like a scary thing but for some people it really does make a huge difference to them, it becomes easier to money manage and that in itself takes a huge stress off people/families.

Remember if you have any hassle or things don't seem to be going right you can always ask for advice on here or there is the 'ask cccs counsellor a question' thread in the stickys at the top which can be a quick way to get a question answered.

    Good luck with it all.
