Thanks for this AMD. I had a look at the link that you gave me but looking through it I counldn't see were I could get them. There was nothing in there to say that having to get a loan from them to pay off their insurance was wroug. I might be able to get them for putting some insurance on the unsecured loan to pay off the insurance.:mad:0

The Consumer Group FirstPlus Complaints Group - www.firstpluscomplaints.co.uk, have this week submitted a Group / Super Complaint to the OFT with regard to the interest rate issue.
For those unaware we have found out to our cost over the last 12 months that despite the OFT having regulatory responsibility for the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contract Regulations 1999 that the OFT will not deal with individual complaints citing that individual complaints should be referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
The problem being, the Financial Ombudsman Service won't consider whether loan terms are fair or not.
So, despite Super Complaints having to be submitted by designated bodies, i.e. CAB, the OFT have agreed to consider our Group Complaint as if it were a Super Complaint submitted by a designated body. In short, they will consider it.
Our complaint has been submitted on behalf of our 1,100 members so hopefully the weight of support will focus the regulators on the wider implications, i.e the potential for future mass repossessions when rates increase.
I would urge all FirstPlus customers to register with the Consumer Group and show your support for our continued action.0
