My two year old niece loved the Transport Museum and then the Kelvingrove art gallery.

Summerlee over in Coatbridge is good too.

Agree with previous poster re Calderglen park - spent many a sunny and rainy day there.

Isn't the transport museum in Glasgow closed/closing soon for a year due to it relocating down beside the Clyde? Kelvingrove is ok but I went on a nursery trip and the kids were bored after an hour, they had more fun running about outside after their visit! They were very small kids though.

Calderglen Park is always good and sometimes at weekends like Easter they have a treasure hunt type thing where you have to find clues and can win a prize. James Hamilton Heritage Park, EK, you can have a nice stroll round it, there's a play bit for wee kids and a bit for older kids. Can be chilly there as its quite exposed. You could feed the ducks???

I like Rouken Glen park too in Glasgow, nice big park, boating pond and some nice walks and a large play area to suit all ages. I took my kids with fishing nets one summer day and had a great time trying to catch anything that might be in the boating pond - until we spotted a massive sign round the other side of it saying NO FISHING - oops. We were just doing it for fun but I don't know if we'd get away with it again, might have a council official telling us off next time. Will have to find a pond we are allowed to fish in this summer!!!

Netmums website usually has listings on their website for whats on each month, maybe worth a look when your kids are still wee. Maybe worth a look?
