On 17k I think it maybe to much unless you have a partners income to stick in. Is you net a lot lower as a lender will not look at turnover, or do you draw a salary?

  • hi thanks for getting back to me
    i take a small salary of £8000
i spoke to finacial advisor and was told that i could also take into account my working tax credits
and my wifes child tax credits not sure if this is fact but they total £350 per week
  • forgot to say that is ontop of my salary

Some lenders will, although I think some may worry as they are higher than your earnings. I do think you could get this but I would also think before you buy.

You know what you can afford, but £80000 is 10x your salary, if the tories get in and hald you benefits you will be stuck.
