Might make my own invites :)

I made up a quick design for an insert on MS paint, and now have looked up everything i need on ebay to make them properly.

Now i need your encouragement to attempt it :o

For those that have made their own,

Was it difficult?
Was it frustrating?
How long roughly did it take you?
And are you pleased with the results? :D

Can I offer one bit of advice....
    When you get tired, stop...!!

The quality will suffer if you don't, and if you're a perfectionist, you will end up doing them all over again, and wasting time and energy (and money!!)

But I do agree with PrincessWoo - if you want to do them, do them - you will be chuffed to bits with yourself afterwards (esp when everyone says "awwww - they are lush")
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

If you don't try, you will always wonder if you could've managed it....

If you manage it and they're great, then whooo hooooo...

If they're not so good, then vistaprint is your friend, and nobody will ever have to know..!!

Was it frustrating? Not the making, but the inserts and info packs sent me a little loopy and so I roped in a bridemaid to help with the envelopes to lighten the load
How long roughly did it take you? - for about 80 cards - an afternoon and evening non stop, the info took another evenng, as did the inserts. putting them all in envelopes and writing names was about 2 hrs for 2 of us - most of this can be done in front of the telly though
And are you pleased with the results? yes very plased and even more pleased to be giving the first lot out :D

    *Rediculous question alert*

I am making my own invites. I'm doing the crafty bits and OH is printing the inserts/inners on his pc (he does similar stuff for his job, so i'm confident they will look fab). Oh and he is printing the extra info onto a piece of coloured paper for me.

But how did you lot put the addresses on envelopes?
Did you put envelopes through the printer? Hand write addresses? Put stickers through the printer and then put sticker on envelope?

(i'm not sure our home printer will take envelopes and thinking the 'address sticker' might look a bit, well, a bill.
    HELP!

most printers will take envelopes, you should be able to set it up in word.

I can't tell you how to do it, I know mine definately does but it has taken me over a week and i've still not managed it!!
