rofl, its amazing where it gets isn't it?

    Yes it is :rotfl:
Girls, I need help. One of our major causes of stash stress atm centres around a carrier bag.....which i think is a mix of toiletries and medical type thingies from our move back from Italy...but other stuff keeps getting dumped in on top.

DH has been really resistant to me throwing stuff out from it and so I've been not dealing with it.

    Anyway disposing of:
loads of alka selster, all gone hard
those sachets you make after being ill for hydration...sell by 2008

loads of stuff I jst don't care to identify singly!

various course f antibiotics that haven't been finished (grrrr)
2 time empty deodorants (this causes lots of tanrums from me, why can't he throw stuff away????)

    empty packet of plasters

loads of grotty loking single tea bags. I hate this sort of waste, but don't dare drink them :(

    keeping
    L'oreal perfect slim
some pills of mine still in date that I didn't collect my prescription for this week, yippee
    a water pistol??
two packets of veet strips for dh :) (revenge for he deodorants)
    panadol
    packet flu plu pills
packet of favorite talc refill opps, time four, but I can only get these in Italy
a tongue cleaning brush )(I would never buy this)
half bottle kanebo firming throat extract, this must be 12 years old...I didn' need it then, I ruddy well do now
    more disposable razors :(
a migracool thingy (I hate these, dh loves them...I think he pretends to get headaches to use them)
packet of party feet insoles..these are mine!
about 1/4 I guess packet Frieda secret agent ..
Oh no, another bottle ofa gradual tanner, this time a nivea body one..yeah, this is mine,,,
this is where all those tubes of deep heat got too!

A mini tube of aveda hair treatment! Yippeee!
two mine tubes elvive sos repair (I like this, so yippee)

a mini tube of original source showergel....

    two soaps,
    a few body lotion samples

Oh, this is a good a nivea firming factor 50!

a space nk laughter bath tablet
    a magicool

    phew: thats some haul...

what I'm shocked at is ow many unfinished courses there have been in the last few years (I've been hauled off hings, not just stopped mid course of antibiotics) and how much we waste on OTC that go off :(

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

What on earth is a laughter bath tablet????

That's so cute about your OH pretending to have headaches to use the migracool things, bless! :D

p.s. where did you live in Italy? I have been meaning to ask you that but thanks for reminding me.

Laughter is a scent and a bath tablet is like a less fun, grown up and smaller bath bomb. )

I lived in Milan, and spent a lot of time in Venice, DH is Florentine. :)

    Hiya
Hope everyones well, its been some time since last I was near a 'puter to read how every ones been doing.

Have done quite well on the useing things up front
    A Perscriptives moisturizer
    2 shower gells
    2 body refining serums(?sp)
1 eye cream-used as hand cream-worked well on my v dry hands
    1foundation
    1 loose powder
but like I say its been a while since I was last here.

was having a bit of a sought out the other day and at last have no more of my stash in my spare room....that leaves just 2 draws under the bed the airing cupboard and those cluttering up the self and window sill:eek:
I do have to get some cotton wool pads in the next few days as I only have a few days worth leftthat means I HAVE to go into Boots for the first time since before Xmas
though I might be able to get my student to go for me.....its the benefit of being a mentor. Naughty but true:( at least I dont get her to make me tea ALL the time
Right enough of my scheaming time to catch up on the posts I've missed.

    Evening all :j

I hoping April will be a no spend month for me and I'll only need to buy essentials, toothpaste and loo roll. I didn't do very well this month but hardly spend the normal amount so it's an improvement at least.

Today I bought myself the Aldi concealer. In my defence I have NONE at all so I did need it and made sure I bought it today so it doesn't interfere with April.

I'm sooooo tempted to buy some flakes but hopefully I can resist... if no one else on here mentions them :o
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.
  • Hello lovely ladies
you are all doing so well. I think I am reducing my stash although I really need to keep updating on here more to keep me on the straight and narrow.

I hope I will be able to do that more in April. I don't want to tempt fate but both my Dad and Dh seem to be a bit better with their respective troubles so I should have more time now.

I have started doing a bit of serious walking each lunchtime. You know trainers and tracksuit. I walk with my good friend along the Thames mostly. We work in the City and the furthest we have managed so far is to Waterloo and back in 45mins. I find it harder on my own though as I feel a bit self-concious but I just put my ipod on and walk as fast as possible. I am not fit enough to jog yet but who knows in a few months time? The thing is that it is keeping me away from the shops:o:).

Although I must say that I wanted to buy some face cream in the marks and spencer sale. It started off at about £25 went down to £15 then £9 and I thought I would hold my nerve until the final reduction day that was on Friday. When I got there the SA told me that someone had bought all 20 jars as it had gone right down to £1.

I think that is really bad mannered:mad:. Even at the height of my obsessions I would never have done that as I would think of all the other bargain hunting toiletry addicts out there.
(I'm sure it wasn't any of you lovely ladies:D was it????)

Now I swear I haven't given in, but I've now acquired a bronzer and lip gloss courtesy of Boots testing panel, and also from Beauty Bible another bronzer, lip balm, facial sun screen and THE most expensive skin cream I have ever come across. I feel like there should be a fanfare to accompany removing the lid. It's still in its box - I feel intimidated by skin cream :rotfl:

I found a Skin Doctors Vitamin C something or other unopened night cream in the bathroom that I'd forgotten I'd bought, so decided to give it a go as I'm just using Simple dry skin cream at night, but it brought me out in blotches, so that's going the distance - I only used a little from the inside lid as well. I hope I didn't pay much - I doubt it!

I'm still persevering with the body firming cream oil that I'm testing - they can't fool me, it is goose grease! No wonder it's good for cellulite, you spend half an hour rubbing the blasted stuff in. Got another two weeks of this (but it will be gone by then I'm sure) and then I can use something else. I've got an Aveda mini body cream I want to try out.

Hi Rachel, good luck with the challenge. £10 for everyday stuff should be easily enough to see you through the month.
