Goofy

My DS is off school ill and is sat here watching Goofy.

I'm trying not to pay any attention, but can't believe that Goofy has just been told not to worry about paying for anything, to charge it to his shiny new credit card.

What hope do we have of our kids growing up debt free ?

I wouldn't worry too much as long as you bring her up to know the value of money and the pain which comes of too much debt. She will be ok.

Yes,that`s a pretty dumb message they are sending out. However we are bombarded with ads lending you money matched with ads ``that get you out of debt``.I have my niece with a £5.5k loan, the apr is so high she will end up spending £9k just to buy a car.Her brother,18,has topped that with a £15k loan for a car``well it`s better than all my mates cars``.When I say it`s not wise I get the they are only young once routine. So keeps the mouth shut---lol.

My kids know about the perils of the credit card and I've told them you end up paying double back that the thing cost in the first place. I think that's put them off for now.

Me too and my kids are primary school age. They also get pocket money and have to budget.

    No, Goofy didn't.

He gave his card at the last place, and it was up to the credit limit, so he had to wash up to pay for his meal.

    Disgraceful.
