Need a new laptop ASAP!

Mr Lappy has finally died a slow death, he hung on in there long enough. Would really like an Apple Mac...or anything decent for that matter.

Macs are the same price everywhere - your best bet would be taking a student to the mac shop with you as you'll get something like 12% student discount- how much are you looking to spend and is anything a must have? does it have to be a mac too?
