Microdermabrasion kit for cleaning my skin

Hi ya,

I'm getting signs of old age, my skin on my face is rough and tired.

I wanat to rejuvinate my face and was thinking of getting a microdermabrasion kit like you see being advertised on the shopping channels.

So has anyone had experience of using the kits and could you please reccommend me one.

thank you

  • Why don't you try one of the abrasive face washes first - I used to use them some time ago and they leave your face feeling lovely and smooth - must go and get some more. Sorry, can't recall the name, but it does seem a little less drastic and less open to mistakes!

    Hello

I recommend you go for a consultation at either Origins who do http://www.origins.co.uk/templates/products/sp_nonshaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT3671&PRODUCT_ID=PROD66037 a great product

Clinique who do http://www.clinique.co.uk/templates/products/multiproduct.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT20354# Turnaround skin renewer and peel (its gentle but depends on your skin type) They give great consultations and may also be able to give you some samples.

Lastly have you tried Elemis? Great products - is an expensive brand but QVC also stock the items at bargain prices

Majority of debenhams stock all these items so you could take advantage of 10% days and also the beauty card.

It depends on your skin type, but I have used these products before and have had great results.

    Hope this helps
  • i dont know if this wud help but i normally go for a facial every month for the past years... recently or more than 6 months ago i started using estee lauder expoliating scrub (about £25, which will last u for months!) twice a week and i can see the difference it made on my skin. my beauty therapist who normally do my facial has noticed it as well and kept complimenting that my skin has improve alot, little thus she know i started expoliating it so i can save the facial fee. im now starting to have facial once every two months.

ps. even tho i dont drink plenty of fluids which cud really help!
i wish i have live my life a little bit off the book, took a chance and gamble
  • Thanks everyone for the great advice and reccommendations.

I like the l'oreal one - the scrub and moisturiser really makes my skin glow. You should be able to get it for about £6 or so on eBay (not sure whether boots or superdrug sell it)

Have you thought about using a mild acid peel.
I've tried several and even though I have sensitive skin they give good results.
