Thank goodness for wedding Insurance

A friend came over to visit yesterday who I havent seen in quite a while so we were catching up and i was showing her some of my wedding bits. I get DD BM dress out of the wardrobe (which is in the spare room) and OMG OMG OMG the cat has decided to use the dress as a scratching post.

Spent most of the day very very upset and even shed a few tears. This morning I was talking to another friend when I suddenly remebered we bought wedding insurance :D

Please please buy it if you havent already

You can still buy it now princesswoo, things you've already booked will still be covered.

We went with ecclesiastical, not by any means the cheapest, in fact quite the opposite, but ive heard very good things about them!

debenhams have got £20 cashback on at the minute

    also this company

    http://www.weddingplaninsurance.co.uk/silver-wedding-cover.html

only charge £19.99 and give 12% cashback through quidco.

Does that seem ok, i dont want to spent a fortune for cover i wont use.

  • I got H2B to check the policy and yes we are definatley covered BUT as with most extra insurance it only covers things not already covered in already existing policys. We have accidental cover on our household insurance so think we may have to claim through that. Obviously that carries an excess (which H2B says our wedding insurance will cover) but then we will have a claim which might affect next years premium :(

Now Im just so angry with myself   why why why didn't I just put in one (of many) dress bags I have shoved in the bottom of the same bloomin wardrobe.

Last week I had both BMs sorted, but luckily I got little ( or not as it now seems) BM to try on her dress and she has expanded ALOT since we bought i. So now Ive gone from 2 BM dresses to none !!!!!

Good job its monday tomorrow and a new week, I can start again :)

    PLEASE BUY INSURANCE!
Our venue pulled out on us last week, with only 6months to go. We stand to lose £2k but thankfully insurance will cover most of it...just not the 400 we've spent on the Cr&p wedding planner so I've jsut been told....fanblimmingtastic!
