how to find a good beautician who works from home?

Hi all,

Just wondering how i can find a good beautician who works from home?
I want waxing, going on hol in July and want to start now, but i don't want to go in a salon, i prefer the more friendlier private way of going to their home and having it done - less embarrasing.
A few years ago i went to a woman who was brill but have no contact details for her anymore and yell.com or 118 are not bringing much luck.
I am looking in the Chester / Wirral area and it's driving me mad, anyone any ideas on how they advertise? I have asked friends but no one knows any, most people seem to shave and i am fed up with it:o

Thanks,

I was going to say speak to friends! All of my friends get waxed...
I know you'd rather go to their home but don't rule out a salon. I go to a little local hairdressers who do beauty treatments too. It's not the posh intimidating type either. Plus my beautician has years of experience and does not ever get embarrassed! She's good prices too.
    Good luck finding one :)
  • If you can't get a recommendation, try a new one for a few other treatments first to build up some trust. I used to go to a salon and then my beautician left and went mobile and i love having her come to my house.

Maybe try having your eyebrows done or a manicure to get to know her and see how you like her before baring all, IYKWIM!

Heya Foxy! I live in Chester and I go to Terry and Co's salon in Ellesmere Port. They are as cheap as anyone who visits your home and they are fantastic! I'm using them for my wedding.

Hiya, how mad, i use Terry & Co as my hairdressers, have used them for most things but not waxing, I suppose seeing as i know most of them there now i get embarrased, i know it's silly.:o I may as well bite the bullet and use them i think.

    Thanks,
  • i work as a mobile therapist and find that a lot of them including myself advertise on Gumtree
