My friend gave me a load of Colmans sausage casserole sause mix.;) I know the obvious is to put sausages into the mixture but my boyfriend and son will not eat sausages (unless bbq).
I have some mince in the freezer at the minute - has anybody ever made sausage casserole with mince or has anyone got any new suggestions on how I can use them up?

You could put chops in instead of sausages?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Mince would be ideal, either as meatballs or just dump it in. Or any cheap cut of meat that requires long, slow, loving... I mean cooking. And if, you know, your history...0

I use it with chicken on a regular basis, left over roast or portions or chopped up breasts (sounds painful) sometimes I add extra vegies to make it go further. It's more tasty than the chasseur mix IMO0

YOu could also put in just vegetables and perhaps beef it up with a little red wine, too!"Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0

Thanks to all your quick replies:beer:
The chops, mince and chicken I will try (not all at once) as they probably go down a treat.:T
I'll save the vegies and red wine (my favourite) for when my mate comes around for tea and maybe polish off the rest of the wine (plus more):D
Tonight it will have to mince sausage casserole with mash and frozen veg, as that is all I have in untill I do my shopping at weekend.
Thanks guys - I'm still open to more suggestions:beer:became debt free December 060 -
Thanks for posting this - I also have a pack of this mix in the cupboard and now have some other ideas to use it for!

I use any of the packet mixes to make a veggie/bean casserole if I am feeling lazy. I usually make herby dumplings or yorkshire puddings to go with it.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0
