Calling Thurso or Wick

Hi,

anybody know if taxi services in the Thurso, Wick area are metered or charged by the mile, and any idea what they charge for a local.

Thinking of having a few days up there and will need a taxi or two.

They have meters up here now. Not sure about charges though, haven't used a taxi in ages. Maybe have a look at a phone book and give a couple a call and see :beer:

thanks for the reply, when I was searching for a place to stay I found a number for a firm in Thurso, so gave them a ring.

Was going to be staying in Castletown, so a taxi from Thurso railway station to Castletown, four miles, was to be £12, jings, £3 a mile, my return rail journey 700 odd miles, only £15, but then I don't get to chat to the driver.
