hi just wondering if anyone can help me my boyfriend and myself recently went for a mortgage for 45,000 pounds when we applied together we were rejected because of my somewhat dodgy credit score but when my boyfriend tried he got accepted this was on the 04.02,
he made another appointment for this friday (26.02) and went through the credit check again this tome he got rejected. when we got home we checked experian and the only thing on his file was a financial affiliation with me could it be that the application he made with me earlier on is now affecting his eligability to get a mortgage because i am listed with him? any adivice would be greatly appreciated thank you vikki

It could have an affect with some lenders.
Some lenders are more stringent than others.
Rather than going direct to lenders I would discuss your situatio. And credit files with a whole of market adviser. They will be able to discuss your scenario verbally with a lender first to avoid any "harmful" credit searches.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
