  • Have a great time, that's mad getting a £9.50 holiday - what a bargain! Shame you'd have had to buy that garbage paper though, to get it

BUY THE PAPER, eh, don't you read the threads on MSE...... when the holidays are due out the codes are listed within the threads and as we have done them many times before we usually are sent a Priority booking form.

I always cancel the bed linen (Having worked at Butlins years ago I know what goes on with it and I'd prefer to know it's washed and clean ;) not just turned over for the next guests)

I cancel the entertainment passes as they are sometimes expensive (but sometimes depending on the site I try to blag that I paid for them and have only not got away with it once he he he)

Those holidays have alot to answer for, it's on one of them that I met my bf lol.

What I mean is, usually we say to people if you have a debt that you cannot pay back in the same time as a default then consider it - i.e. £40k of debt would mean paying back £6-7k per annum for 6 years so it'd be easier to walk away and get the default. In your case i'm really struggling to grasp why you'd ruin your credit for a simple (small) default...?

Only wish I’d found this forum sooner - been muddling through on my own - got some right and some bit wrong

just a point of order for now
you could not pay off £40K in 6 years at a rate of £7K a year (I only wish you could) they will be adding around £6K to £8K in interest each year!

It was a totally hypothetical situation but actually yea you could :p:p

If an account is in default most lenders do not charge additional interest ;) Well, that entirely depends how much you know and fight for your interest to be frozen.... :D

Niddy is having a weekend off!

I will be away from Thursday 22/04 to Sunday 25/04 so come on guys, nothing is that urgent that you need to panic over, please don't fill my mailbox - things can wait until I get back - right?

Please, just post once - or even take the weekend off yourself, but don't flood the thread with posts panicking again cos it just causes confusion which results in my mailbox being flooded in no time at all. :o

Thanks guys - have a good weekend, i'll be back posting on Monday and will answer anything then - nothing will be that urgent that cannot wait the few days that is Thursday to Monday - trust me ;)

    Have a great weekend - I know I will...

shor it is hypothetical - but the originak quote about paying off 8 grand in 6 year v getting a default
But you know you'll get defaulted here? thats like 6 years for a £8k debt, i.e. its costing you a default for slightly more than a grand a year?:eek:

What I mean is, usually we say to people if you have a debt that you cannot pay back in the same time as a default then consider it - i.e. £40k of debt would mean paying back £6-7k per annum for 6 years so it'd be easier to walk away and get the default. Anyway - So an account being in default - COULD be a good thing ! ?
