Have read lots of different things on here concerning Egg and just wondered whether it would be worth pursuing with them.
What do you think?
You should speak to CCCS or leave things alone cos it will open a can of worms, naturally. Is the capquest thing in relation to the egg account? Have you CCA'd them or something?
Slightly confused.... :undecided2010 - year of the troll

Hiya
I was going to have a right rant at you for being silly and agreeing to such a high settlement - luckily it went awry..... basically for a £4k debt, you offer no more than £1,000 - but now as you've rightly spotted, it would be best to CCA them...
You'll get a default, if not already, but that's about it - if it is enforceable, then you can make a F&F offer of around £1,000 using my template from page 1 which also haggles for default removal...2010 - year of the troll

Woah - well I am surprised at that mate. I am usually loyal to HSBC cos they usually get things right, I really need to see this agreement - pleeeeease (lol)
However things have worked exactly as we want. They have issued a final response, as have you.
Brilliant. Let them add charges all they want, you will never be paying them! Just ignore them from now, all that will happen is you'll get a default (worse case)....2010 - year of the troll

So i'd never previously seen the HSBC agreement, that what you're saying right? Please stick to each account, so when I ask for a rundown, you'd be saying "ive never mentioned this one before Niddy" - not linking me to mbna cos mbna has nothing todo with hsbc...
So can you tell me have I dealt with the hsbc one before? yes/No? I think not, and therefore say it is unenforceable - unless i'd previously seen something to make me say otherwise.....0 -

Yep - you knew the DN would be forthcoming, it is all they can do - just sit tight and do nothing at this stage, its a tradeoff - no debt for a default.
The account will be terminated, yes. But that doesn't matter here or there....0 -
NID - No the Capquest ones are nothing to do with the Egg account. We started the CCA process with Capquest (3 x debts totalling over £20K) cos they were the ones giving us the most grief/phonecalls etc.
The Egg account just seems weird as we have had no correspondance from them whatsoever since Aug 2007. Have been paying them £1 per month since then but they havent even acknowledged that is happening, no letters, no statements no nothing in over two years!! Would have thought we would have had some sort of 'automatic' letter from them in that amount of time.
Should we CCA them - or will it cause more trouble than its worth? But at £1 per month it may take 4500 months to pay off - 375 years!!! (If thats how much it was!)
I dont understand why they wouldnt contact us!0 -

Yea CCA Egg and stop payments. If it is enforceable then you'll have to pay more, but maybe get you a good F&F deal if relevant....
Dealing with it will ensure after 6 years, it will be officially statute barred instead of lingering on for 375 years...2010 - year of the troll

Hiya
Its a recon that they sent right? Thing is it looks fine, you can try blagging it and ignoring them? But really, you can't do much else.... see what happens? It can't get any worse, if they know it is enforceable cos they have an original then they will threaten ccj - at which point you'd then have to make a payment arrangement...2010 - year of the troll
