I found OOiZiT.com a few months ago, and although it's all unsigned bands and artists rather than chart stuff there's still some really good bands and tunes on there. Some downloads are free, others you have to pay for but it's well worth a look.

I use Last.FM, it is awesome finding new bands, or bands that have been out ages, and just discovered them! I to have an account . So it tells me about my scobbles
