Hi, i have just looked on my credit report its ok but in 2004 at my previous address a person took out a loan or catalogue in my name with a fake date of birth and even added a middle name as well, i knew nothing of this until February last yr when a letter came through asking for £159 approx i called the company and said i was not at the address as i moved in 2002! I sent proof of my tenancy agreement and a police crime number.
They sent a letter back saying they had the account under investigation, i thought nothing else of it until i saw my report, i have been on the electoral roll since 2003 at my current address. Also i suppose i am not hard to find as my surname is not that common! I have called the credit company and now they are going to contact the company Littlewoods i think to see if this can be removed from my file has anyone else come across this or if anyone has any advice that would be great thanks.

You have told them about it, they should remove it. It may be quicker if you write to the 3 credit reference agencies yourself though.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0
