Hello All,
We are planning to get married later this year and have seen some fantastic late availability deals at St Audries Park in Somerset - it looks fantastic and I can believe how cheap it can be for a last minute booking so I wondered if anyone had actualy done this, and more importantly how child friendly is the venue?
Idealy we would like to have some activities for the kids like a bouncy castle / outdoor games - are they likely to accomodate this?
I have booked to go and have a look around so I am just trying to get some opinions from people who know the venue already!
Thanks

I don't know if they would accommodate it but I have phoned them before and they are very friendly so it might be worth giving them a call. I love that venue too, we toyed with a late deal but wussed out at the last minute lol.:TMSE B2B 4th June 2010! :T0

I was born and lived in Taunton for 20 years .... how did I never hear of this venue??!!!
Just checked it out and it looks really stunning. I would suggest taking a list of questions with you or ringing them before you go. x0 -
I am a bit suspicious that they can make such cheep last minute deals but all the reviews look good.
We are going to view it next week.
Beks - good idea - we are bound to forget what to ask so we will start on a list of questions.
My main concern is that it looks very "formal" which is not really what we want as there will be as many kids as adults!0 -
hi,
dont know if u decided on venue but went to wedding at st audries yesterday, with my 2lively boys, and found it to be v child friendly, all the kids attending played hide and seek inside and out,and there is a dedicated kids room where there r colouring books/pencils,dvd player and mini pool table, and none of the kids got bored of were a nuisance at all!! just a note tho if ur getting wed in the orangery there,it gets VERY hot in there if its a sunny day!!!
enjoy your day.0 -
