I bought a kit quite cheaply (got mine from QVC) just wait until baby is asleep and it can be done really easily and much more cheaply, with just the same results.

  • My neighbour had a 3d hand and foot casting done for her 10 week old baby girl in January. She had tried to use a kit she bought but said it was really hard and didn't get anything out of it even though she used all the stuff...apparently it's not as easy as it says on the box. She had a lady round who did her casting and I've seen it...it looks absolutely fantastic...so perfect....shows up all the finger nails and wrinkles. On that basis I have just bought a gift voucher for my nieces christening from her for her to cast in April.

Have a look at the website and see if it is what you are after

    serendipitycastings.com

I think this lady also advertises on ebay
Just cut and paste this number into ebay and you'll be able to see her advert 330405462478

    Hope this helps

  • Sorry forgot to say she only paid £89 which included her coming to her house and bringing it back to her....I don't think that's bad...cheaper than a photographer.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I know a few people who have used the kits and to be honest I havent been that impressed with the results. I have checked out the Serendipity castings and the product looks first class so I will give them a call and book an appointment. Thanks again for your replies:)

Just a quick update. I used Serendipity as recommended on here. The lady came last saturday to cast my God Daughter. She was extremely professional bringing several beautiful samples with her. I decided on a hand and foot casting which is to be a gift for my friend (her Mother) for my God Daughter's Christening in April. She had a lovely manner, singing nursery rhymes to my God Daughter throughout the quick and easy process. The finished products look fantastic. I can't wait for delivery!!!!!!

Yeah. Funny how that poster's first post was advertising a company. And no posts elsewhere. Stinks of :spam: but glad you were happy.
