£50k of credit card debt and only.............

Years 48 - Days 17 - Hours 1,051,200 - Minutes 63,072,000 - Seconds 3,784,320,000

Left to go until it's all paid off, just thought I would make some of you feel better who have a lot less. Just counting down the days and just working out what I can spend that cash on when it's paid off.

A space flight??
A Hoverboard??
A classic Prius with brakes??
An Underwater house in the Maldives??

Decided I can't do anything about it having tried very hard, it wasn't my fault, (builders went under during build)

I can't shuffle, can't stooze as I just get refused new cards. Credit score is very poor even though it's all green and no missed payments just down to amount of credit used. So put me down as one of those people who are paying every month until it's gone, paying what they owe but not in the method they would choose or at the rates.

Why is today a good day to post this - RBS kindly paid my builders directly after I asked well pleaded them not to and after previous payments came to me, even a subsequent payement came to me. This money was lost in the builders huge overdraft and never seen again. It's been to the FOS, MP and Chief Exec who has kindly agreed to pay his staff £1.3bn bonus today but for me it was all to no avail.

The only reason I had so much available credit was because I was the CC companies worst nightmare, I paid it off every month. It was either use the cards or not finish the building. Until this point I have never paid interest on cards. Now they are making up for lost time.

If I could get it added to my mortgage I would be paying £62 pm interest not the £1k currently being paid but apparently I cannot afford it. Ha

Lesson learnt - I wish I had kept the other cards I had , this would have freed me up to do some stoozing, so it's always good to have some spare credit cards - you never know!!

Roll on year 2058.

If your builders went under (assuming you paid them to build something for you) and it was brought on credit the full amount is protected by the credit card company (even if only £1 of it was spent on the card), you get the money back from the credit card, they fight the builders.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
