I'm considering taking a job with Skipton B/S as a whole of market FA.

I was hoping that there was someone on the forum who already works for Skipton who could help me understand what they are like to work for.

Ive been send info from an agency regarding a "Customer Services" position there. Considering the fact my last job position was an Account Manager I am suprised they even bothered, but at a starting salary of £13,600 it hardly compares to other major financial institutions (that are still making a loss I might add...).

They did mention a structured career/salary path for all positions, and being a newish Building Society I'm at two minds as to whether to work from the ground up again. Any company can claim to develop staff, but if they can only be bothered/able to affort 1 person per region for their training schemes there isnt much point.

That being said I've found that the newer/smaller financial/banking businesses are really taking the !!!! with regard to salaries - cheque centre for example are offering £14k for a Branch Manager....now thats quite laughable, guess taking advantage of ex-managers is quite a money saver.
