What shall I wear??

Ok - It's not a wedding...!! (sorry!!)
I am going to my boyfriends parents 50th Wedding Anniversary lunch - it's at quite a posh hotel, but it's an intimate lunch (for about 30) rather than an evening do.
I've only met the parents once before.
What shall I wear????????
I don't want to be too dressy and stand out - but also don't want it to look as though I haven't made an effort....
I also have a bit of an issue in that I've hurt my leg - so I am limping a bit, so gonna look ungraceful anyway....!!!
I don't know if I can wear trousers for this? Would a skirt/dress be more acceptable??
oh - and it's due to snow too - joy!!!

What would you wear if it was a lunch for your parent's Golden Wedding?0

I think I have decided - a black dress with a white ribbon belt and a white cardi.
So it looks as though I've made an effort (i.e. got my legs out!!) but it's not too dressy.
My parents and his parents are completely different creatures - wish me luck!!Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! Yey!! YIPPEE!!0 -
Sounds good. Although if it is snowing I'd recommend some black tights (maybe with a little pattern). Oh and some low heels (after all, think of your poor limp).0

sounds lovely very ''new girlfriend making an effort'' I would agree with the tight though if it is snowing and there are loads of lovely black patterned ones:happyhear YUMMY MUMMY TO HENRY BEAR AGED 10:happyhearslimming world need to get back to target 25lb to goDisney World here we come May 2018:j0
