Gift poem help please

My dd is looking for a new job - abroad!
Consequently they don't want gift items as they won't be able to take everything with them when they go.
Initially their plan was to not put a gift list in the invitations but to take with gratitude what comes. They're getting married abroad so have told the guests invited to the wedding that they're already spending enough money but there will be a UK reception (and probably farewell do) so they need to cater for these guests as well. You helped me with my last ditty for the save the date cards so I'm asking again. Whatever I do seems to sound harsh or cheeky but this is it so far - suggestions please!
GIFTS
L- and P- are getting wed
A happy event it must be said
They’re beginning a new life
And looking ahead
Being husband and wife –
But not in B--!
So we’re begging your understanding
If a wedding gift you’re planning
May we hasten to say not expected
If you don’t mind cash is requested
To help us set up home anew
Wherever we find our pastures new.
The place name omitted does rhyme!
Please be kind.....

It's not really a poem, but this is an adaption of what we're putting in with our invites:
As we don't expect a gift, we do not have a list.
However cash would be very welcome, if you insist.0 -
I really do need help with this now girls n guys, my dd has found her 'pastures new' she's just got a teaching job in the Cayman Islands!
Consequently they can't take stuff like electrical goods or tv stuff as they are on the US systems and our stuff won't work over there!
They're going to have to buy when they get there.
We're going to be really busy - a wedding in August then almost straight off to their new life - the UK reception will be a farewell party too!0 -
I like the poem in the op tbh.Bump due 22nd September0
