No credit Score???
Options
Hi sorry I haven't had time to do a search (ok, too lazy )
My son wants to get a brand new car on a lease hire agreement, but has been told his credit rating is not good enough.
He & I don't understand this as the only credit he has is a mortgage with NO defaults what so ever. we are at a loss as to why he cannot get this credit
He is a manager and earns very good money as does his Lady partner
He has never had a credit card, would this be the cause as he has not built up a credit score?
Sods law, his existing car has now broken down, and he desperately needs to get this sorted (if he can)
Any Help/advise would be gratefully accepted.:)
Regards
Bob
How can he get round this , If at all please?

Having a limited credit history is probably the reeason. He should be able to get a car on Hire Purchase or a personal loan from his bank.0
-
dealer finance should be ok considering he has a mortgage and registered on the voters roll.0

Than you for the replys.
It wasn't a loan he originally wanted, it was a lease hire. would that qualify as a loan?
