Loan with A&L now Santander? Payments been written off!!!

Options
In 2003 I took out a loan with A&L, in 2004 my partner and I had our first child and a year later payments with the loan became difficult. I called A&L and had the interest frozen and started to pay reduced payments. This progressed fine until November 09 when I received a letter from A&L stating my last 3 payments to them. Next to each payment were the letters PWO. I called A&L and was told this meant my payments had been written off, I was told to stop making any payments and an A&L or Santander representative would contact me. 4 months later and still no contact from them. What happens now, I dont want to make any payments only for them to be wrote off.

Why are you asking on here rather than just ringing them to clarify the situation?
  • Tried that only to be told to wait for contact from them. Plus why should I if someone owed me money I'd contact them not expect them to call me.

Because you don't know what charges might be accruing, what's happening about interest due, how much you'll end up paying...
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
