PPI Refunded in Full

:T :j Hello,
Just wanted to say thank's for all the helpful posts I have read here re mis-sold PPI's as a result I decided to check the Loan Terms & Conditions and discovered I did not meet the qualifying conditions for PPI so wrote to TSB asking for full refund and explained I work p/t 5-7 hrs max per week June - Oct then 3-5 per month Nov - May, way under the 16 hrs required for PPI to be valid.
Initially was offered half then TSB person mentioned 2 previous loans, one jointly with DH who is in receipt of disability benefits so they put offer on hold until TSB investigated these too, got letter last week confirming repayment of all x3 PPI's (x2 partial refunds because earlier loans & PPI paid off early when next loan granted & x1 repaid in full, most recent loan) from 2001 - 2006 = £7619.67. Used to reduce loan balance.
Hope to be debt free by 01 Sept 2006 having sold BTL property and pay off loan from proceeds.
Before anyone 'shouts' at me, yes I was aware that the PPI's existed BUT it was never explained to me that they were optional, I believed they were a standard part of getting a loan and YES the bank knew what our income consisted of, they were told when we applied for the loans but never asked for any documentation from us, just filled in the application and approved there and then.
Many thank's, without this site I would never have known that we were paying for worthless PPI's. :T

    Hi Old iron balls,

Could you give some tips how to do that, I searched this forum and found a thread from 2005 posted by Avogirly who had the same problem as me and you seem as well. (Sent my thread, no reply yet.) I'd like to cut down or apply for PPI's cancellation/refund (loan with TSB  huge), but they wouldn't do it  . You are (+ quite a few of you) a living proof that it's possible :T . I have CCCS app. in 3 weeks time and want to try as much as possible beforehand :o . Please advise. (PMs are welcome.)

    Many thanks,
    taj
