Sub 200 Tosh netbook caveat

Options
Hope this is in the right place otherwise please advise?

The Tosh deal from IT247.com is a good deal BUT don't put your delivery address as different from your card address as after a few hours the order is cancelled!! They say that this is not made clear and has happened a lot. (It actually happens only on a first purchase). I have been told the debit card will be refunded after 3-5 days and to avoid confusion I then placed the order on my credit card.

As there are only a few netbooks left, it is important not to get your initial accepted order cancelled later on..and not notice!

Hope this helps

  • Why have they taken the money and then cancelled the order?

Whenever I've ordered something on debit, and it's been cancelled or not accepted due to delivery address, it's just not accepted.

Hi, only just seen this.....that is what happened in the end!

BTW I asked Toshiba why you had to wait 30 days after registration to get any cashback offer. Apparently people were buying the notebook, getting the cashback...and then getting a full refund!

    Hmm..is that the same as a "Gotya"?:p

The Toshiba NB200 deal from IT247 was excellent. After cashback it came to 192GBP and the 3 year warranty (upgraded free to collection) was just over 16GBP. Even Tosh were surprised when I registered this (successfully) as it usually is 45GBP.

The NB200 is now 'obsolete' and the new NB300 has a built in power supply.

Sorry...with it now (man flu and all that)..the origianl Grabbit was a 280GBP netbook (at educational price) for only 192GBP until the end of March.

I think dmg24 was wondering why you'd posted this seperately in the grabbit forum, rather than either on the end of the original thread or in anther forum :)
