Equifax - Financial Associates

Hi there,

What information should appear on the financial associates section of the Equifax report

My mother seems to appear 4 times with differing different spellings for her name which is confusing me as i've never takenout anything with or for her.

Plus there all to do with mortgages, something ive never applied for before.

any help what normally appears here and what is classed as a financial associate.

A financial associate is someone with whom you have a joint financial product (mortgage, loan, overdraft, credit card etc). Once you have been associated with someone you generally stay associated unless you correct your files (even if the joint accounts are closed)

If someone appears who should not you can fill in a notice of dis-association form to have them removed.

Do you have a similar name to your mother or father (sorry not sure if you are male or female), sometimes links are incorrectly created when then should actually be on someone elses file.

ah my name is the same as my father, bar the fact i have a middle name and he doesnt

so it seems like they have linked the proucts my father has with my mother, with me instead of him.

ill need to get onto equifax and the rest of them in regards to this then.

would i just write them a letter you think.
