QuickQuid won't leave me alone

A while ago there was a cashback offer with Pay Day Loans through GreasyPalm. I tried to sign up but after I put in my details it redirected me to QuickQuid which had different loan terms. It looked too risky so I just rejected it.
Soon after I started having a flood of emails offering me loans from different companies. I managed to block the emails.
Now every month QuickQuid sends me a letter offering me a loan. I started writing 'Return to sender' and putting them back in the post but doing that three times made no difference at all.
I sent them an email with my full address asking them not to send me any further correspondence. I got an automated reply telling me someone would reply soon but no reply ever came. The letters still kept coming.
Eventually I phoned and waited in a queue for 30 minutes to speak to someone to ask them to stop sending me letters. They took my details and told me they would pass the request to their marketing department.
Today, they've sent me another letter. They seem to completely disregard any requests to stop contacting people. How can I make them go away? It's only one letter a month but I think if they're asked to stop, they should stop.

They rely on repeat business.
What do you expect from them?
Best to just keep returning the letters in an envelope without a stamp, they might get the message then.
What they are doing is a perfectly good plan of marketing/action for their business model though.
Trust me, I have been there and done that.0 -
I don't object to them sending junk mail. But I do expect them to cease contacting people who have made it clear on a number of occasions that they're not interested and don't want to be contacted.
If an individual makes repeat unwanted contact with another individual there are laws to make them stop. I would have thought laws exist to allow people to 'opt out' of contact from companies.0 -
You could try emailing the Mailing Preference Service for some advice.

I'm not sure if registering with them would help though, if you've previously given contact details (either directly or indirectly) to the company involved.
They might be able to advise you though, or even drop an email to the company on your behalf?

Report them to the Information Commissioner as they're in breach of section 11 of the Data Protection Act, iirc.0

I've done some research and apparently the Data Protection Act section 11 requires them to stop using my details for marketing if I request it in writing. If they continue I can either ask the Information Commissioner to investigate or apply for a court order.
Edit: Thanks MothballsWallet, I'll send them two letters first and then report them.0 -
I've PM'd you the email address of someone in QQ's Legal Department as they have just responded to a complaint i made.
Maybe if you email him, you'll actually get through to them that you're not interested.0
