Hi,
My dad turns 50 in July and had the idea to make up a hamper of some sort containing 50 items. We are planning to give this as a combined gift from the family so we can spend a little more on the more expesive items. I have been put in charge as I'm the only one even remotely organised lol but I'm having a mental block. I'm planning to add a number of 'joke' items as my dad has a great sense of humour but want a few more sentimental, 'proper' gifts to put in also. Want to something special for him as he has not been well recently so even more important.
Was thinking along the lines of classic toys/coins/music/cartoons/sweets from the 60s but not sure where to look. Can't be anything to do with family tree/childhood pics. Maybe 'day you were born' print or reprint newspaper from 1960.
Would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction as I'm a bit stuck lol. Sorry for the waffle, thanx in advance

I've got several things on ebay for a friend who is 50 this year - 1960 coins made into cufflinks, a comic from the month he was born, the single which was no.1 which I intend to make into a bowl. I also thought that I'd download all the number 1's for the year onto a memory stick for him0

Thanx, will have a good look on ebay. I like the idea of turning a old record into a bowl, will have to google that too! Not sure if my dad would like it though, especially if its one he likes
. Thanx again
