I left the cous cous out overnight. It was covered. It contains chickpeas, grilled peppers, spring onions & a bit of olive oil. I put it in the fridge when I got up.
Wouldn't normally be bothered but I don't want to have an upset tummy at a-ha tonight.
Did you know I am going to see a-ha tonight?!

Personally I would eat it, as it was covered.
Maybe you want to have it as an after-concert snack just to be sure though0 -

No idea about your couscous, I'm afraid. But hey, really, what a surprise, you're going to a-ha??? We'd never have known!:rotfl:Enjoy! Maybe wouldn't chance the couscous, is it really worth the risk for someone who's going to see a-ha?

I have often eaten cous cous that has been in the fridge overnight, and even for more than a day, and have never been poisoned by it.0
-
Hmmm... I'd say it was safe. After all, there's no meat in it, and that is always the dodgy bit. You could always heat it up, to be on the safe side? Fried cous cous salad is actually quite nice... (God, I'm such a student... and I graduated years ago...)0

Heth, I think you've misread the post, manicdays left hers out of the fridge overnight, and it has been very hot hasn't it?:DYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

Sorry, I did misread the post. I'd probably still eat it, or give it to my husband to eat (he eats everything and is always fine).0

I wouldn't touch it. The worst food poisoning I've had (the ups and downs IYKWIM) was off vegetarian food in an all day buffet restaurant. Same for DH. We'd had a party two summers ago and put all the food that wasn't eaten in the fridge at the end of the night. It was only the salads that were left. DH had some the next day and was violently ill all night. Really nasty. I think 2hrs is the max you can leave food out for, probably less in a heatwave.Context is all.

Ooh, good point churchmouse - we have missed out on all this hot weather so I didn't take that into account - had it been here (max temp about 18 at a push!) chances are it would have been fine.0
