Don't know if anyone can help. A few years ago my son went on a Party Bus which was basically a double decker bus woth darkened windows, music playing and they got drove around Edinburgh. I have trawled the internet to try and find who it was booked through but only found a company called PArty Bus who advised that it would not have been them as they only offer adult parties. Has anyone out there heard of them if so do you have any contact details.

Only ever seen the silver adult one driving around edinburgh. There has been a huge increase in stretch limo parties for kids in edinburgh though.

I found this on the City of Edinburgh Council website - just a thought though........the Octobus might be busy during the school holidays....

    Play Action Team
This project is managed by the Play Development Unit, with the team responsible for running the Department’s ‘Octobus’ playbus. The project works with children aged 0-3 years and their parents/ carers to help promote positive play experiences. Funded through the Government’s Sure Start initiative the work with young children and families forms the major part of the bus programme, however the playbus is also available for occasional private hire. For more information on the work of the Play Action Team, or to enquire about hiring the playbus, please contact Shirley Thomson on 0131 311 7077.

    Good luck!

Thanks for your repies - I know the Octobus but this was one was a party bus. Black outside, the seats upstairs had been removed and places around the perimiter and the same downstairs sort of. Am going to phone around and see if anyone knows any more. The kids in question were 11/12 years old. I need the bus for approx 40/50 kids for after the school leavers doo.

I tried doing a search on Searchy UK Metacrawler and Lycos came up with loads of ideas. It's too long to post on here but if you type in 'Children's Party Edinburgh' you can try contacting the Party Shop or similar and ask them. If the Bus isn't avalable, at least you've got loads of possibilities. Good luck and I hope the party goes well.
