We sister is helping to organise a charity event this Sunday and they're desperately trying to find cheap chocolate for 4 chocolate fountains they've bought from Argos.
Does anyone know what kind of chocolate to buy or where we can get some cheaply? Internet is OK if it can be delivered before Sunday!
Many thanks!

dont you have to mix it with oil if you use normal chocolate. Dh got me one nearly 3 years ago that has never been out of its box!! But the instructions say to buy their own chocolate (very expensive) or you have to mix cooking oil with normal chocolate. Is that not the case as thats what has put me off using mine!!!!0

I used cheap chocolate no problem at all, just make sure you wash throughly after , just to save it clogging up.
Someone told me expensive chocolate have to mix oil, but i only tried basic brandsChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -

If you don't fancy adding oil you can add a little butter or milk - both make the chocolate a little runnier and it 'fountains' better.
For things to dip the smart price or tesco value packets of fudge are ok. cut each fudge into four pieces to make it go further. Strawberries is the obvious one but are very expensive. Apples are actually really nice, nicer than you'd think as is tangerines (chocolate orange). Banana pieces are also good.
If you are making your friut in advance try and keep it sealed with some lemon juice on it otherwise it will go brown.
And plenty napkins!0 -
For dipping things
what about value brand madeira cake cut into chunks - asda or tesco do a 3 cakes in a pack thing - with maderia, chocolare chip and fruit (i think!!) you could maybe use all 3?
The usual marshmallows of course!
cheap chocolate eggs with mallow in the middle (so you cab spear them!)
chocolate brownies0 -
always use the cheap value tesco chocolate in ours mixed with a little veg oil to make it run smoothly, doesnt affect the taste imo, maybe even improves it?
melon cubes, strawbs, marshmallows, fudge, shortbread biscuits or any other value biscuits really are all yummy dipped!0 -
