We have had great bother getting photo taken for childs passport.
Photo booths apparently are no good and chemist said they couldn't as they had had loads rejected by passport office. We were advised we would need to go to professional photographer but then we went to Snappy Snaps in High Street Belfast who guarantee photos for £6. Hope this helps someone.

I have looking for a photographer to take a passport photograph of my kid. Thanks for the information.
  • Snappy Snaps is the best place for child's passport photos and they are also the best for baby passport photos, too.

We did our own after taking my daughter to one of those booths with the results being very poor.

Took a head shot as per the passport website guidelines: downloaded a bit of software called Passport Photo and it was all done within minutes. Just got the passport back with no issues.

The good thing about doing your own (with a digital camera and then printing it) is that you can reject the pictures you dont like (to your hearts content) as opposed to the booth where you have to choose 1 of the 4.
    Waddle you do eh?

I had both my kids done at Dundela Pharmacy on the Belmont Rd for £4 each and they were very careful to make sure they fitted all the regulations

I got my 13 month old photographed at Formula Health at the corner of the High Park Centre, Belfast. They have a special 'cushion' that keeps the child in the right position. I think it cost £5 for 4 passport size photos. They must have fitted the Passport office requirements as I got his passport within less that a fortnight. On a side issue - you need a 'full birth certificate' for a child's passport. If you take your 'short version' to the City Hall they will give you a full version at a reduced rate.
