Seed favours....?

Is anyone planning on having seed favours or been to a wedding where they were used? If so, how did they go down as an idea?

Thank you for any replies! x

  • Hello, I was thinking of having seed favours, I think they are so cute. Especially something like forget-me-nots, with a rhyme like "plant these seeds and when they bloom, think of this day and the bride and groom"...

I created a thread about wedding favors the other day and posted a link to a business that sells cards that are impregnated with wildflower seeds that can be used as favors. Look under the section Cards That Grow

  • Hi, I've bought some seedbooks, like the matchstick books, I beleive they were £21.99 for 50 seedbooks, they look great, I'm not actually having them as favours just placed in a bowl on the bar for people to help themselves. I think it's a lovely idea, specially for a spring wedding. x

Thats a lovely idea I know last year alot of companies gave away packs of seeds free we have a nice collection of veg seeds this year after so many gave them away.

maybe worth emailing some seed companies and seeing if they will send some packs out to you free as a way of promoting their products. - always worth a try

Sorry i dont get why you would give these out? I think i am being dim but what if they didnt like gardening ?

you could ask that question about any favours its what the bride and groom like they give out as favours, some people dont like choc, sweets, almonds, perfume, you wouldnt ever please anyone.

if the guests dont like gardening then they dont have to take them

the idea behind seeds as a favour is that the guests take away something to grow and whatever grows reminds them of the bride and groom and their lovely wedding.
