Sorry to ask a silly question but how do you give someone else your ticket, doesn't it have your name on it??
I think the Ticket could have Mickey Mouse on it and they would still let you in as long as you look old enough for The Films Certificate.

I have been asked for id at Coventry before!
Maybe I look a bit dodgy or something!!!:rotfl:0 -
You can temporarily change your name to anything in your account then print the ticket so basically it can have any name you want on it.0

When you get your tickets from seefilmfirst they give you an address to contact if you can't use the tickets allocated to you. If you don't contact them you are depriving other users of the tickets.
I go to lots of screenings in Edinburgh and they are always out of tickets quickly but the cinema is only ever a third to a half full yet I see people from Edinburgh looking for tickets all the time and they are unable to get them.
I like a freebie as much as the next person but I don't apply for things I can't use! When people start to abuse things like this, then they get wise to it and stop all the offers.
In the spirit of the MSE community please please tell these companies when you can't attend so that another MSE'r might be allocated instead.0 -

great thought everyone shud think about.
the london screening of children of men was incredibly packed, about 5 seats vacant.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0 -

Just to clear this up for people who are mistaken
I never suggested I do not attend Screeings deliberately...or deliberately waste Tickets...and I do not think that my above post encourages this either.
I was Just making the Never been asked for Identification Point...even when I have Handed over a Ticket in my Partners name ...And in my case that is the opposite sex
If I do have spare Tickets which can Happen ....as sometimes unexpected circumstances occur in life and screenings cannot be attended, I always try to ensure they are Used.
I have Informed See Film First in the Past that I have tickets that I cannot use ...but when I check on the Website the Screening Still Remains Full...so does informing them actually make the Ticket re-available to others .....I suspect not.
And the Name change option does not apply to all Free Cinema ticket issuers

The Momentum screenings for Hoodwinked all came up as full until you put in the codes, but when we went to it, there were only about half a dozen of us in the whole showing!0 -
Went to watch WTC at Liverpool this morning and sadly problems with the film. The cinema staff were great though and tried hard to get it working but to no avail and instead they put on a free showing of An Inconvenient Truth
and gave us back our tickets which we will be able to use to watch WTC when it is released. So a big thanks to the Odeon for trying and even though I had hoped to watch WTC before it is released, at least I still get to see it and got to watch another free film also!0
