Debt collector visiting to collect cash?

  • This sounds the more likely to me. Contact the council and complain about the attitude of the bailiff and request that they take the debt back.

But so far the DCA hasn't actually broken any rules - its worth visiting their site, arranging a payment method that suits the debtor and then there will be no need to have someone call to collect cash.

Obviously, the debt needs to be looked at and so long as Ross makes arrangement to pay the arrears everything will be ok. So long as he attempts to make payment, then he has more grounds for arguing against the council but at this stage as no payment method is live - the council will not entertain a buyback.

As previous email stated - a simple google search would have saved him a lot of bother.... ;)
