Halifax and DMP expired

Hi
I'm into month 7 of my DMP with CCCS and all has gone quite well, my 6 month agreement with Halifax has recently expired and they have put me back onto a standard plan with added interest of 5 times more than my minimum repayment, they have also changed my payment date meaning that CCCS payments will not reach them in time, meaning more late payment charges.
I have written to Halifax with a copy of my latest CCCS budget and a full explanation of my situation, but they have failed to reply.
Today I have received 3 text messages on my landline asking me to telephone them. Now I can only imagine that they are calling as my CCCS payment probably hasn't arrived yet.
So do I ring them and explain the situation or do I do nothing and let CCCS resend my budget and DMP notification again.( I have requested this)
Part of me wants to call them to get it sorted now, but the sensible part of me is saying no, they know my situation and are playing funny !!!!!!s.

Hi Scouselad
If i were you, i'd just get CCCS to resend them your financial statement and offer of payment. They can do that tomorrow, so won't be waiting long. IN the meantime, start sending them the templates on stopping interest. They should know by now that correspondence is best done by mail.DFD February 2012

Hi Scouse
I spoke to the horrible Halifax(BOS) earlier this week after they sent our statements with interest still added, the guy I spoke to said they needed to speak or they would not reduce interest and accept DMP payments. I don't know if this is a made up rule or the truth but the bottom line is that he did reduce the interest, if only for 3 months (then I need to check in again) and as long as they are at least reducing the interest , I will talk to the devil to get this sorted.More than Two Years in

Thank you everyone for your replies, for the time being I'm not going to talk to the Halifax, as I have done this in the past with other companies and we just seem to go around in circles getting nowhere. Instead I have asked CCCS to contact them and as suggested I will send off the Stop Interest Letter.
Does anybody have an address for Aqua that they have had success with, as my previous letter was received a few weeks back but so far it has been ignored.
Thanks
PS does anybody know of the email address for Collections, or better still The MD or CEODMP mutual support thread member:3270 -
Definitely get the CCCS to contact them for you. Don't call them.
With a couple of my 'difficult' creditors, I would always ask the CCCS to contact them. I also replied to creditors myself, reminding them about my DMP, giving them my reference number, and telling them that the CCCS only pays out on the 25th of each month and that this cannot be changed.
Most creditors are already well aware of how the CCCS operates but just play awkward.
Good luck with getting it sorted!Debt Jan 2008: £45,566. *** June 2013: DEBT FREE! ***
Paid back just under £50,000 due to some interest added.

There's a letter somewhere that tells them you only want to be contacted in writing and after that if they call you can report them to the OFT.
Also you can try writing a complaint letter - it might go to a different department and get dealt with in a different way. I think someone had some success with this and asking them to take interest and charges off as it was not helpful at all and contrary to their public image of helping people.
If the complaint fails to get a sensible reply you can always approach the ombudsman as the bank have to treat your fairly - you can always point out that the other creditors have stopped interest and charges to help you so why can't they.
They might also claim to deal with debt charities (check their literature) - in which case you might want to point out you are dealing with a recognised debt charity.
Good Luck

National Debtline website has some good template letters you can use for this purpose - just adapt to your circumstances.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

Thanks everyone for your help, I have taken your advice and asked CCCS to re send my offer of repayment and a please stop interest letter, I have also wrote to The Halifax Complaints Department, explaining everything from scratch, including copies of all letters already sent to Aqua, plus a copy of the electronic proof of delivery and the telephone harrasment letter.
So now it's just a case of waiting for their reply, if they bother.
BTW they were still ringing me last night at 10.10pmDMP mutual support thread member:3270 -
Best thing I ever did was stop paying Halifax so they would pass it to a DCA. Much nicer and debt now gone.Barclaycard 3800
